Theresa Wolf

– Where are you from?

This should be an easy one…but I have an adventuresome past! I grew up in central New Jersey. Rob and I met and married in Port Orange, Florida and we relocated to Johnstown by way of Atlanta, Georgia. God has used so many people to teach me more about Him in each place I’ve called home!!

– Tell a little about your family and life

Rob and I got married in 2009. We’ve had tons of adventures together already… And it seems like the Lord will use us in ways we don’t expect where ever He grows us in different seasons. Our short stories are as follows: Rob is a landscaper and a preacher. I’m a pastry cook and teacher. Rob loves God’s word and is really adept at explaining the intricacies of it. I have a real passion for teaching families how to prepare simple, nourishing meals so that folks can serve Jesus more and better with their whole-selves–mind, body, and spirit. Rob also captures glimpses of God’s work in photos, and I have been known to make a crazy project out of found materials, especially when young people are involved. Rob currently serves God as pastor of Pleasand Hill Church of the brethren and as a landscaper with Stuver’s Riverside Nursery. I serve here at Kaufman Mennonite as a Youth Leader and with New Day Ministries as a cook and after-school program leader. I bake for fun and for extra income when God provides opportunities.

– What do you like to do in your spare time?

Chase waterfalls. Bake cheesecakes. Write letters. Sing. Adventure. Cook with fruits and vegetables. Walk. Clean. Make small gifts and visit.

– Favorite Scripture?

Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

– What do you enjoy the most about working at KMC?

I love how the leadership here is encouraging but does not micromanage.

I see God stirring up a Holy Spirit fire here–and I’m not sure what it all means or how it will play out, but it is a gift to be any part of what God is doing.

– Who is a hero of yours?

Magda and Charlie–Hungarian immigrants and friends from our Port Orange, FL church. Knowing their story of escape from persecution and what Jesus has done through them boggles my mind.

I am in total awe of believers persecuted for their faith–and I am begging God to help me know some of their measure of faith.

What’s something quirky about you or something we may not know?

well… we don’t have a TV… that’s probably quirky in this day and age.

– What is your HOPE for Kaufman Mennonite Church

I pray that Jesus will sweep through KMC with Holy Spirit fire and cause us all to lay aside caring what the world thinks… so that we care only about HIS kingdom… HIS work… HIS glory! I pray we will allow God to set us free in Him… no longer controlled by the bonds of contemporary, cultural slavery.
